The heart and soul of Culinary Wise, Savory Catering began as a side hustle for Jon when he was working his way through Culinary School. Twenty years later, Savory Catering has grown to be one of the most sought-after wedding and event caterers in Dallas, and a pioneer in corporate catering.

A staple since 2004, State&Allen has the distinction of being the first green-certified restaurant in Dallas. Most well-known for a fantastic patio and weekend brunch, the carefully curated menu ranges from affordable bistro fare, like our Crab Crusted Salmon or Pepper Dusted Filet Mignon, to our classic Silver Bowl Salad and beloved pizza. (And our dog-friendly patio was the first of its kind in Uptown Dallas!)

We dare you to name a more classic sports bar in Dallas than The Nodding Donkey! Serving elevated bar fare, with a Tex-Mex spin, since 2010, we can’t imagine a better place for watching the game in Uptown, especially on our outdoor patio. We’ve recently expanded our menu to include pizza, from our Social Pie ghost kitchen.

The newest baby in the Culinary Wise family, we opened Maple Landing to expand upon our offerings of smoked meats, which we have been using in our menus for years! Everything at Maple Landing is smoked in-house on our J&R Smokemaster Oven and pairs perfectly with our unique and rare bourbons.

Opened in 2016, Social Pie brought our beloved pizza from State&Allen to the Dallas Medical District. Our recipe was influenced by our owners’ respective time growing up in Connecticut and Chicag, and is unlike any other pizza you’ll find in Texas. We also offer a wide selection of artisanal sandwiches and salads, along with a rotating craft beer selection and hand-selected wines.
